“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world” – Anne Frank

Everything changes.

Life, is always beginning again.

We trick ourselves into buying in to the illusion that who we were yesterday, or even an hour ago, is the same self we are destined (or doomed) to be forevermore.

This is, of course – a fanciful fiction born of a lack of imagination, and a lifetime of repetition.

“To change one’s life:
1. Start immediately.
2. Do it flamboyantly.
3. No exceptions.”

William James

Each new moment is truly new – and novel – and pregnant with new portals and paths – potentials and possibilities.

It’s a hard thing to remember.

It’s so easy to be me – full of the same flaws, foibles and frailties I had last week, last month, last decade and just a moment ago.

So I remind myself – I always get to choose.

It’s the one freedom, we never lose.

Memento Mori.

Life is short.

It matters not where you’ve been.

It’s enough to know where you want to be.

Just begin.

Again.

“This world does need your help so very, very badly. So on behalf of this world, I would like to invite you to come and do something about it”

-Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche
